Also, you should provide short historical info about the evaluation subject in case you are going to assess a film, canvas, book, or any other thing with some historical background. Further, you should express your point of view by forming a particular judgment in the kind of a thesis statement. The next paragraphs must maintain and substantialize the formulated thesis contradicting the probable counterarguments. But, profound argumentation must be left for the argumentative essay type, when an evaluation essay must state yours estimation of a subject in an influential manner.
You should be logical in your judgments, that is, your estimations must be grounded on some objective, generally recognized criteria. Every judgment must be maintained by evidence (description, example, statistics, point of view of other people, etc.). In the case when you decide to use comparisons in your evaluation, you have to make sure that the collated objects are equal. In addition, you should show an impartial tone, although remembering the requirement to form your own point of view. The writing style must correspond to the evaluation object.
